Here’s what to expect at FLOW
Experience Smetana’s “The Moldau” in a whole new way. This immersive production takes you on a poetic journey along the Czech Republic’s longest river —from its source in the Bohemian Forest to its mouth at the Elbe. The famous classical work is reinterpreted with modern sounds and impressive visual effects.
From the river’s origins to the forest hunt and peasant wedding, all the way to the dreamy moonlight and the roaring rapids, the various stages of the Vltava come to life. Each scene has its own unique character. At times it is gentle and dreamlike; at others, powerful and dynamic. The result is a varied audiovisual experience that brings Smetana’s composition to life in a special way.
Classical and electronic beats meet breathtaking video mapping
Smetana’s famous masterpiece “The Vltava” forms the musical foundation of FLOW. Under the artistic direction of Martin Skalsky, the composition was rearranged and recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Tobias Preisig adds a modern twist with electronic beats and creative sound design. This is complemented by atmospheric lighting choreography and impressive video mapping. The result is an extraordinary interplay of symphonic music, electronic sounds, and digital art— a far cry from a traditional concert experience.
The architecture of the Church of the Three Kings also becomes part of the production. Light, sound, and space intertwine. The historic church interior is transformed into a fascinating setting where the boundaries between concert, art installation, and digital production blur.
