The weekend is sacred to us all and we want to make it as exciting as possible in Frankfurt. Of course, Mainhatten offers an impressive variety of things to do all year round, but what are the highlights of this weekend? We’ll let you know every week so that you don’t miss out on any great events!
Exhibition opening at the Goldener Apfel
The Goldener Apfel vaulted cellar tells the story of the changes in Frankfurt’s Jewish history after the end of the forced settlement in the 19th century. A newly designed exhibition presents the history of the building at Judengasse 18 and sheds light on the lives of residents such as Joseph Moses Rindskopf and Isaac Kauffmann, who published Hebrew books here. In the midst of neo-orthodox and liberal currents, the exhibition questions the historical and current significance of democracy and participation. The exhibition is accompanied by a diverse program that invites visitors to engage with these topics.
